NB Publisher Bozell: Komen ‘Snapped Like a Toothpick’ In Response to Liberal Media Pressure

Posted by on Friday, 3 February, 2012

Komen hasn't bent to political pressure from Planned Parenthood and its left-wing political allies – they've snapped like a toothpick. And according to our statistical analysis, pro-abortion ABC, CBS and NBC News have undoubtedly played a strategic role in this pressure. Since Komen's first announcement only two days ago, these network morning and evening newscasts collectively have cited it more than 13 times. And not surprisingly, these reports overwhelmingly slammed Komen and sympathized with the abortion giant. This stands in stark comparison to the same newscasts virtually ignoring the Obama's new 'health' mandate forcing thousands of Catholic institutions to defy their deeply held religious beliefs. In total, ABC, CBS and NBC have covered that story a whopping ONE time since the news broke two weeks ago today. The liberal media are actively lobbying for a baby killing factory while deliberately avoiding the most serious threat to religious liberty in this country. It's anything but professional journalism.

George Soros: There’s not much difference between Obama and Romney

Posted by on Tuesday, 31 January, 2012

Testimonials. Via RCP. Alternate headline: “George Soros cuts the greatest Gingrich attack ad of all time.” Newt, in fact, mentioned Soros’s comments here three times in his interview with ABC this morning; no doubt the footage below is coming soon to a Winning Our Future spot near you. Is Soros on the level, though, or is Read this post

Real Time Guest KOs Maher and Bashir: If Brewer Were Dem Pointing Finger at GOP Prez, You’d Praise Her

Posted by on Saturday, 28 January, 2012

Reason TV's Kennedy on Friday had a delicious smackdown of HBO's Bill Maher and MSNBC's Martin Bashir . When Maher and Bashir voiced predictable scorn for Governor Jan Brewer pointing a finger at Barack Obama earlier in the week, Real Time panelist Kennedy correctly observed, “If this were a Democratic governor and a Republican president doing the same thing, the entire panel on your show would be like, 'You go girl.' It is so hypocritical” (video follows with transcript and commentary): The discussion began with Maher showing the now infamous picture of Brewer pointing at Obama. “I think this is unprecedented,” bemoaned the liberal host. “I don't know of any other instance when someone has been this disrespectful to the president.” After the predictable applause from the audience, Bashir opined, “I think that this is the physical embodiment of what has happened over the period of this presidency…What she did was the ultimate outcome of behavior and beliefs that have been allowed to spread and continue…That was profoundly offensive.” When Bashir was done with his absurd characterization of this incident, Kennedy marvelously replied, “If this were a Democratic governor and a Republican president doing the same thing, the entire panel on your show would be like, 'You go girl.' It is so hypocritical.” To strengthen her point, every time former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) or former Senator Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) said anything negative about George W. Bush when he was president, the press would party like it was 1999. As such, Kennedy was spot on about the hypocrisy concerning how not just Maher and Bashir but the entire Obama-loving media have covered this incident. Brava, Kennedy! Brava! Although the environment has improved, contributions are still nowhere near where they were prior to the recession. Unfortunately, the Media Research Center has not been immune. With this in mind, your support has become more important than ever. With a critical election approaching, the liberal media needs to be monitored 24/7. As we have been predicting for months, the press are willing to do anything to get their beloved politicians elected and/or reelected. As such, we need your help to fight this fight. Newt Gingrich Tells David Gregory ‘Nobody in the Elite Media Wants to Cover’ Obama’s Alinsky Roots

Posted by on Sunday, 22 January, 2012

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich on Sunday told Meet the Press host David Gregory, “Nobody in the elite media wants to cover” Barack Obama's Saul Alinsky roots. This came in response to Gregory asking the former Speaker of the House if he can “win independent voters in a general election campaign” talking about Obama's ties to Alinsky and other “radical left-wingers” (video follows with transcript and commentary): DAVID GREGORY, HOST: Let me end with this, Mr. Speaker. Jeb Bush, former governor of Florida whose nomination is highly sought after, he says he's going to stay neutral in the race, has called on all of the candidates to have a very positive tone and think about the independent voter as we move forward in the general election. I want to play something you said about President Obama last night and ask if you think you're consistent with that admonition. Watch. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) NEWT GINGRICH: The founding fathers of America are the source from which we draw our understanding of America. He draws his from Saul Alinsky, radical left-wingers and people who don't like the classical America. (END VIDEO CLIP) GREGORY: Can you win independent voters in a general election campaign with that message? GINGRICH: Absolutely. Ronald Reagan did it by a landslide in 1980. He carried more states against Jimmy Carter than Franklin Delano Roosevelt carried against Herbert Hoover, and the reason's simple: What I said last night is the truth. Nobody in the elite media wants to cover it. Nobody's ever gone back and looked at what Saul Alinsky stands for. Nobody ever asks what neighborhood organizer meant. He wasn't organizing Boys and Girls Clubs. He was teaching political radicalism. It explains his entire administration. He is who he is. It's–you know, it's not that he's a bad human being, my impression is that he has a good family, that he really loves his children and his wife, that he's a very pleasant person in some ways. But the objective fact is he believes in a very radical vision of America's future that is fundamentally different from probably 80 percent of this country. And nobody in the elite media has ever wanted to dig into it, ever wanted–why would he veto the Keystone pipeline? Why would he kill jobs in America? Why would he have a National Labor Relations Board attack Boeing? Because it fits the model of Alinsky radicalism. In reality, if the media had fully reported Obama's ties to Alinsky and other left-wing radicals in 2008, he never would have beaten Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination. The question now is whether this year's Republican presidential nominee will do a better job of forcing the press to report it this election cycle. Stay tuned.
