CAIR Entering Trayvon Martin Case

Posted by on Tuesday, 27 March, 2012

It appears George Zimmerman’s rampage against hoodies hasn’t ended. He is now targeting hijabs. IOL News via Gateway Pundit : Dawud Walid, executive director of CAIR’s Michigan chapter, said Alawadi’s death was a primary topic of conversation among speakers and attendees on Sunday evening at the organisation’s annual banquet in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn. He and others compared her slaying to that of Trayvon Martin, the unarmed Florida teen shot by a neighbourhood watch volunteer and whose case has ignited racial tensions. “Treyvon was black wearing a hoodie. Shaima was wearing a hijab,” Walid said. “It’s the same racist principle at play that killed both of these individuals.” Wait… it’s about head wear? I thought it was all about racism and blacks being under attack ! (I still can’t figure out how a black man was elected President in such a racist country….) Reports coming out reveal Trayvon may have initiated the first physical contact in the Florida case. In Florida, verbal assaults or threats do not justify using a weapon (including fists). However, defending against a physical threat does . I only hope Shaima got in a few good licks on her killer before he overwhelmed her.

Obama Flashback: Dealing With High Gas Prices Is a Sacrifice I Expect Americans to Make (Video)

Posted by on Thursday, 15 March, 2012

Despite record gas prices Democrats repeatedly killed another Arctic drilling project this month. This came after Obama’s recent move to rejected the Keystone pipeline project. US gas prices at the pump have doubled since Obama took office. Gas Buddy But don’t look to President Obama for any sympathy. He thinks it’s a sacrifice you should make. Barack Obama told a group of numb Kool-Aid drinkers in 2008 that “We have to make sure people are making good decisions about cars.” And dealing with high gas prices is a sacrifice I expect Americans to make. Obama’s Favorite Chicago Lawmaker Caught Hobnobbing at Commie Headquarters (Video)

Posted by on Monday, 12 March, 2012

“He is one of the greatest congressmen in the country,” said President Obama. The reason, Obama told a Teamsters union rally in 2004, “is because he shares our values.” Obama and Danny Davis go way back. They both were members of the socialist New Party in Chicago. Barack Obama was a leader in the communist-affiliated progressive groups in Chicago throughout the 1990′s when he first moved to the Windy City. Barack Obama’s favorite Congressman Danny Davis (D-IL) was recently caught hobnobbing at the local communist party headquarters in Chicago where he recieved an award. Rebel Pundit reported: And, Democrats wonder why only 37% of American voters say Obama’s views are more like thier own?

Why Politicians Can’t Connect with the Middle Class?

Posted by on Friday, 2 March, 2012

Nearly every national political campaign emphasizes the importance of connecting with the middle class. So how come in the 2012 presidential race, none of the candidates are able to make that connection? A hint may be found in the results of a Rasmussen Reports survey showing that just 27 percent of voters nationwide believe government management of the economy actually helps the economy. Fifty percent think government economic activism does more harm than good. What is especially interesting about the data is the income demographic. Upper-income Americans are evenly divided as to whether government management of the economy helps or hurts. Middle-income Americans, on the other hand, overwhelmingly view government management of the economy as hurtful. The affluent, perhaps because they can easily gain access to the policymakers, are OK with government management of the economy. They want it done well, and many want it done in a way to benefit their own interests. That's why a plurality of Americans now believe the United States has a system of crony capitalism rather than free-market competition. The middle class, without friends in Congress or on Wall Street, has an entirely different view. Broadly speaking, it see the federal government as a burden weighing down both the economy and the middle class. To help the economy, most simply want to reduce the burden. Seventy-seven percent of voters think that the government could help the economy by reducing the deficit. Seventy-one percent think it would help to reduce government spending, and 59 percent think tax cuts would help. So when a politician talks of helping the middle class with a new government program, it just doesn't ring true. Most candidates miss this distinction because they tend to hang out with more affluent Americans. They tend to discuss how to make government work rather than how to make the nation work. To some, an issue like the price of gas is primarily a question of how it will impact potential investments in alternative fuels or whether higher gas prices are good because they encourage conservation. To the middle class, the question of gas prices is much different. Data from the Discover Consumer Spending Monitor shows that half of all Americans don't have any money left over after paying their basic bills each month. For these Americans, rising gas prices force unpleasant lifestyle changes. To connect with the middle class requires understanding the middle class. Franklin Roosevelt did this in the 1930s. As he expanded the role of the federal government, he explained it in a manner that made sense. His greatest achievement, Social Security, was not sold as a government handout but as an insurance program with people setting aside money during their working years that could be drawn down in retirement. That attitude still resonates with 21st century Americans. In the 1980s, Ronald Reagan understood the rising frustration with an ever-expanding government. In his first inaugural address, he said, “Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.” Six out of 10 voters still agree. America is still looking for the 21st century candidate who can connect with the middle class. Obama to OWS: “Suckers!”

Posted by on Wednesday, 22 February, 2012

I alluded to a HuffPo story in this morning’s column , but it deserves a slightly fuller treatment. Here’s the meat: President Obama’s campaign manager has a message for Wall Street: This time around, we’ll lay off. Jim Messina, Obama’s campaign manager, told the hosts of a $38,500 per-plate fundraiser geared towards investment bankers and hedge fund managers that the president wouldn’t make Wall Street look bad during his re-election campaign, Bloomberg reports. The assurance follows Obama’s call to raise taxes on the rich in his latest budget proposal. The current attempt at appeasement also comes as Obama attempts to win back the donors that provided him with so much last election. Off course Obama will go easy on Wall Street. That’s where the money is.
